Green Hop & Bay Ale

October 24th, 2018

We had no plans to make a green hop ale but when we got a nudge from the head grower at Growing Communities looking to donate fresh hops we just couldn’t say no.

The hops grew on top of a bay leaf tree in the garden of an urban market in Hackney, just up the road from the brewery. We use hops from all over the world, but this is the first time we’re using hops grown right on our doorstep.

Our green hop and bay ale, is a light and refreshing golden ale brewed with fresh Cascade hops and infused with bay leaf. The fresh aromas of green hops, citrus and bay leaf are supported by a beautiful golden ale subtle malt body. We can’t wait for you to try it.

Pop down to the taproom to give it a try with us this Friday 26th of October.
